Hi all! Hope things are well and everyone is staying safe, healthly, and full up on virtual tabletop games to last through the holiday season! We're busy at work on GrymmWorld and wanted to share some of our latest (and promised!) updates! Let's get into it!
Table of Contents
At request and suggestion of some backers through our Discord, we're very pleased to share the (near final) version of the GrymmWorld Table of Contents! As you look through the sections of the book, we do encourage you to hop in Discord and discuss with Grant or Ryan, questioning or commenting on what will be a whimsical, delightfully perilous adventuring world!

Recent Art
In development of a few more locations of GrymmWorld, please find, below, in-progress of Bilhago, Desaly, Labirintio, and Praia.
Next-Steps and Deliverable Estimates
The next Kickstarter update for this project will be Sunday, December 20 or earlier.
Grymmworld PDF: By December 25th
As before, we are still on-track for the "99% complete" version of the PDF during the December Kickstarter update planned for this project, but will give ourselves a little flexibility in the delivery, with our goal to release a finished, or near-finished PDF through Backerkit by the 25th of December. At this stage, the project will be released for community consumption while we step through errata, proofreading, and print prep.
GrymmworldPrints:April, 2021 (Tentative)
Sorry for the delay. Our tentative estimate is April 2021 for the delivery. This includes a little flex time with our new printer and extra time for the final proofread and community review. This would be both the standard and deluxe prints of the book to all locations (domestic and international).
Finally,
Thanks again for the patience with this project! We're moving week-by-week toward the goal of getting this out, and remain very excited for this (and other upcoming) projects. Of course, please let us know if there are any questions or concerns - drop them in comments here or in our discord: https://discord.gg/invite/2k35fY9

Update, Communication, and Delays
– Sat, Oct 17, 2020 at 02:54:46 AM
Hello everyone! We're so sorry for the lack of communication on this project, and have finally turned our attention to communication regarding Grymmworld and updates on the project's schedule and timeline. Rather than burying the lead, let's get this kicked off immediately:
The project is running late. We're very sorry that, through our management, things are behind schedule. True to 2CGaming form, however, while we're compromising schedule, we won't compromise quality or quantities of the project. We're extremely pleased with the work that's been done thus far, and remain excited for this project that differs so greatly from others in our catalog.
We are currently coordinating to deliver the PDFs before December 25, 2020. We'll have a stronger idea of when exactly as we move closer to this date, and we do not yet know the current delivery date of the prints and deluxe prints for the project, as these will be heavily dependent on the successful delivery of the PDF by the date above. We usually estimate prints to deliver a few months after the PDFs.
Recent Art
We're so pleased to have made recent progress on the location illustrations of areas of interest found within the Grymmworld setting. The scenes of Tadfen Bog and Witchwood are some of our favorites, showing several of the darker spots in the setting. While there's been progress on the ancillary artwork to help set the mood of the project, and some of the major characters (including the Narrador personas), we'll be sharing those in a later update, rather than now.
Next-Steps and Deliverable Estimates
The next Kickstarter update for this project will be Sunday, November15th or earlier.
GrymmworldTable of Contents: November 15th
We'll be showcasing the near-finalized table of content, including formatting and design elements in our next Kickstarter update on November the 15th. This should help clarify details of what will be present through the project and where you can find it, including new racial selection mechanics and options, regions within the Grymmworld setting, and hints to the overarching story.
Grymmworld PDF: By December 25th
We hope to release the final PDF during our early December Kickstarter update planned for this project, but will give ourselves a little flexibility in the delivery, with our goal to release a finished, or near-finished PDF through Backerkit by the 25th of December. If "near-finished", this will be what we consider a "99% complete" version, essentially waiting on only community proofreading before it's final form.
GrymmworldPrints:TBD
As mentioned above, we do not have a solid deadline yet for the Grymmworld prints (both standard and Deluxe). We'd like to estimate Q1 of 2021, but it may be early Q2. As we get further along with the delivery of the PDFs and appear on schedule there, we'll be able to better-estimate the print delivery.
So ... What Happened, and What's Happening?
Mostly a communication breakdown, in honesty. We've revamped our communication process recently for our current projects (Epic Legacy, Dragonflight, Total Party Kill Bestiary - Vol. 2, and now Grymmworld), after repeated failure to maintain a level of communication requested by our backers. As such, we took a few weeks to prepare a new process, project by project, and are implementing it now, with greater focus on visible consistency, rather than focus on substantive updates only. It's imperative that we communicate continual progress on our projects, as even if we know progress is being made and the project isn't being "dropped", you, the backers do not. Our sincere apologies for this lack.
Finally,
Thank you for your patience. We're working to ensure this project lives up to its name and mystery, and we'll be more diligent about communication and addressing inquiries in timely fashion moving forward. If there are ever questions or concerns, please leave us comments, messages, or hop into our discord for more-immediate assistance: https://discord.gg/invite/2k35fY9

Update: Regions in Prometerra
We have been hard at work over the past half-year with nearly 50% of the book written and ready to move into copy editing. A wealth of the words written so far have been around the evocative and wondrous nine regions of Prometerra and several of the mechanical subsystems that power play.
Each region begins with flavorful fairy tale fiction that introduces a local legend to the reader and sets up the scenery for storytelling. We then explore the details of the environment: the geography, terrain, as well what perilous paths we find throughout the land.
We then describe the culture of the area and discuss the various factions, organizations that hold influence and objectives that feed adventure hooks to the game master, and prepare players to engage in the story of the world that has already been set in motion.
Inhabitants hold unique philosophical outlooks on magical practices, political structures, and local systems of religion and belief. There are also unique whimsical and surreal sciences that sustain everyday life.
While the culture is richly detailed, we also delve into the dangers that surround our settlements. Unique monsters, beasts, and hazards abound across the continent of promise and each is detailed.
We have finished outlines for all nine regions and are integrating adventure hooks and roleplaying guidelines to help gamemasters get the most out of their prep time!
Update: The Narrador
The second large work that is nearing completion is the chapter on the Narrador and the narrative mechanics that integrate into your fifth edition campaign. The Narrador is a representation of the game masters authority within GrymmWorld and much of the writing has been around the subsystems that supplement play:
We have been refining our two unique exploration mechanics: The Wandertrek and The Story Expedition System. The Wandetrek is designed to enhance the enjoyment of long journeys as we travel across the continent encountering fantastical creatures and wondrous locations. The Story Expedition System allows for quick regional exploration to uncover the magical secrets of the many locales that can be discovered over the course of play.
For heartwarming and emotionally driven play we have authored a Relationship Bond System, adding new features, feats, boons, and magic that are powered by powerful relationship attachments.
Combat continues to evolve in our Skirmish Story System for running rapid battles that occur in the wilderness. This popular system has been featured over the years during Actual Play live streams but is becoming refined, streamlined, and ready for publication for the very first time.
As the month marches on, we are looking to hit the 50% mark and begin the copyedit of the content that has been created thus far.

Update #9: Campaign Complete! IMPORTANT Next Steps!

GrymmWorld Wins!
Grymmworld's crowdfunding campaign finishes strong with 1,017 backers and $33,715 dollars raised! This empowers us to create a powerful book to bring perilous tales told at twilight to your table.
WOOOOOO!
Next Steps
The following list below shows what we will tackle in order of priority:
Backerkit Setup: 2CGaming manages pledges and fulfills rewards through Backerkit and we will be setting this up as swiftly as possible. This system will allow you to make adjustments to your pledge and pick up other 2CGaming published works at discounted prices. There are many fun items you may enjoy, so be sure to check it out!
High Tier Reward Development: Did you back at a $500 reward tier? You will be receiving a KS message asking for some preliminary information about your piece along with times to meet and discuss your item. This will ensure you get as much development time to write/review your piece as possible, so keep an eye out for that message!
Playtesting: We will be assembling play test packets for the community. This will be made available to EVERYONE, not just backers, as we want as many eyes on the content as possible. Play testing is a HUGE part of our product's development, so we want to repeat that success here. Check out the community discord to get in on these games!
General Updates: We are going to be providing consistent updates (our goal is 1 to 2 a month) where we let you know how the project is going. These updates will include art, production details, and other things we'd like you to know. We don't want to spam you with lots of little stuff, so we may do less (or sometimes more) frequent updates depending on how things are going. You can always check in with us for details in the 2CGaming Discord.
Thanks for the support, making magic happen, and we will talk to you soon!
